Since 2024, I’ve been exploring the lifecycle of clothing and the potential of discarded materials. This project started as a curiosity about garment construction, where I researched how clothing moves through the cycle of production, use, donation, and disposal. The information I learned was shocking.

• Basically all clothes are handmade
• Around 75% of donated clothing never makes it to the retail floor
• Billions of pounds of fabric are exported to low-income countries
• Recycled polyester production increases demand for single-use plastics
• Clothing is vital for our wellbeing
• … and so much more

This completely changed the way I was looking at fabric.
